In my TE800, Educational Research class, the subject that I choose was co-teaching. As a special education teacher, I co-teach in every classroom that I am scheduled in. In the classes pertaining to library media, I was also highly encouraged to include collaboration and co-teaching as an aspect in the lesson planning and I also used collaboration between the classroom teachers and the librarian in my action research plan. Currently, education is highly compartmentalized, but with some careful planning and willing teachers, a bridge can be built between subjects and standards in order to bring a fully comprehensive plan to our students where they learn what they need to in all aspects of education.
